Agioi Anargyroi, Naoussa 844 01, Paros, Cyclades, GreeceWebsite

Daybeds out on pale platforms in the infinity pool, and below them a cove of fine sand and shallow water, ten minutes' walk from Naoussa's harbour.

Agioi Anargyroi is a small bay of fine sand and shallow water next to Naoussa, on the north coast of Paros, and Cove Paros has twenty acres running down to it for 45 rooms, which leaves plenty of ground to each. eDje, an Athens practice, built it in 2021 out of whitewashed cubes and dry-stone walls of grey and rust-brown stone, and roofed the terraces in reed, so the shade falls on the floor in a grid. After dark the paths between the white walls are lit from the ground, and the plants throw their shadows up them. The infinity pool is a long one, with daybeds set out on pale platforms in the water and the bar in a pavilion at the far end, the brown hills behind. Five Signature Suites have a pool of their own, under a reed pergola, between a stone wall and a strip of garden with the sea beyond it.

Recommended for couples who want the beach at the foot of the grounds and a town within walking distance, and for parents of teenagers, since children are taken from twelve: the Signature Suites add a living room with two sofa beds to the king bedroom. The days go between the sand, with its all-day beach bar, and the infinity pool; the spa is outdoors, and so is the gym. Lunch is at Rada, a few steps from the beach, where Gikas Xenakis cooks from Cycladic produce, local and seasonal. Kolymbithres and its granite coves are 5km by car, and Naoussa's harbour ten minutes on foot. Or dinner stays at Rada, to the sound of the sea: rada is Greek for a roadstead, the open water outside a harbour where ships ride at anchor, which is more or less where the restaurant sits.

A bathroom vanity with a round mirror, a sink and a woven chair, beside a shelf with a plant.
A pool seen straight from above, with sun loungers along both sides and a swimmer leaving ripples near the centre.
A round wooden table seen from above, set with plates of food beside an olive tree's shadow.
A covered terrace with a reed roof, daybeds and a small plunge pool, looking out past a stone wall to the sea.
A paved path lit at night, leading between two tall white walls toward buildings beyond, with plants either side.
Floor cushions and a lantern on a beach at dusk, beside a thatched umbrella and rocks above the sea.
