Iskele Sok. No:8, Kalkan / Kas, AntalyaWebsite
A private cabana on the waterfront below the hotel, drinks brought down to it, and Kalkan's town centre under ten minutes away on foot.
Likya Gardens calls its top room the Penthouse Suite with Jacuzzi. Six nights there in September 2020 was enough to work out what that actually means: a bath large enough to fill with water at whatever temperature you like, which suits Kalkan's heat better than an actual jacuzzi would have. We loved it, and would book the same suite again.
The suite came with a private cabana on the waterfront, at the Likya Beach Club below the hotel, where drinks are brought down to you and the water beneath the hotel is clear enough to be worth the walk down on its own. One day we hired a boat from a local operator rather than the hotel's own trips and spent it entirely on the water, which was one of the best parts of the stay. Breakfast is Turkish, taken looking out over the water, and worth getting up for.
Kalkan's town centre is under ten minutes on foot, but walk the other way for five minutes and the hotel feels like a retreat on its own, not an extension of the town. There is no beach in the usual sense: getting down to the water means a run of steps cut into the rock.
We stayed as a couple and would go back without hesitation. We would not bring a young child: those same rock steps down to the water are the reason.
